Natural - Sustainable - Fair Trade

"Holy Lama" products are mainly made from natural ingredients, avoiding the use of strong chemicals or synthetic substances. Sustainable materials are used for packaging wherever possible. Less than 1% of waste is generated during production and all waste is used as fuel or for livestock, making the company's carbon footprint exceptionally low!

The raw materials used for production are sourced mainly from local farmers in Kerala and the rest of India, building on seven decades of strong relationships with farmers. The business operates on a credit-free basis, i.e. all farmers and input suppliers are paid upfront. The factory pays workers fair wages and farmers fair prices.

Women's enterprise

"Holy Lama Naturals is recognised as a government-approved women's enterprise in Kerala, with more than 80% of the factory's employees being women. Most of them are from disadvantaged backgrounds (i.e. widowed or abandoned by a partner).
