Sas Najjar Aleppo soap
Al Najjar family since 1895. produces authentic Aleppo soap using traditional craftsmanship. Knowledge is passed down from generation to generation at the Al Najjar family soap factory in Aleppo, northern Syria. Every year from the end of November to the end of March, the production of the world's first solid soap is repeated in the same unchanged process. The soap then dries for at least nine months.
Njel Aleppo soap is made exclusively from olive oil and laurel oil - two selected oils that give it many benefits. Beaten olive oil is a powerful cleanser that nourishes, protects and softens the skin. Laurel oil is known for its disinfecting and regenerating properties.
Made from the traditional 200 g of Aleppo soap with 5% BLO (laurel oil), Njel Aleppo black soap with organic vegetable charcoal combines the properties of Aleppo soap with charcoal. For thousands of years, charcoal powder has been used in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine to detoxify and cleanse the body. Today, the use of carbon in cosmetics is becoming increasingly popular. The organic charcoal used in Njel Aleppo soaps is from Indian gooseberries, more commonly referred to as Amla. Amla is the fruit of the Indian gooseberry tree, which, as its name suggests, is grown in India as well as in Nepal and Sri Lanka.
